Jolie Liss
Young Living Essential Oils
Jolie Liss currently practices School Psychology with children from ages two years old to teens.
Jolie became interested in essential oils in her twenties. Around the same time, her passion for learning about nutrition and alternative health surfaced. She used essential oils from any old health store and did not give much thought to their origins or purity. Her main use of essential oils (i.e. tea tree) was a desperate attempt to help clear her skin, which had been a struggle for many years. When Jolie was introduced to Young Living essential oils over two years ago, she immediately noticed a difference in their quality. She began studying essential oils, and sharing her knowledge with friends, family, and strangers alike. |
Jolie was apprehensive in partaking in the business world of essential oils, but when her beloved dog, Sara, neared the end of life, Jolie diffused and applied essential oils to assist in coping with bereavement. It was then that she witnessed the power of essential oils, which she believes to be a gift to humans and animals during our time on Earth. Through this journey, Jolie decided it was time to share her love and knowledge of essential oils with others. Jolie’s use of essential oils continues to span from supporting physical health to emotional well-being. Her favorite single oils are Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Vetiver, White Angelica and Frankincense. Her favorite Young Living blends are SARA, Thieves, Harmony, Inner Child, Peace and Calming, Deep Relief and Purification.

We're currently living in a chapter of American history when more constitutional rights are being dissolved than created and lives are left shattered in the wake. As artists and creators we've decided to stand up and fight. We’ve teamed up with the ACLU and we’re working hard to gain strength in our firm stance against predatory law making and social intolerance. Through fundraising, donations, and inspiring new members to join us, we’re willing to do our part to empower social justice during these challenging times.
To further parallel our position on social justice, we're practicing Earth justice and sustainability. We start by hand drawing our designs in our studio in Escondido, CA and have them hand built by our friends at Eco Bamabas, in a sustainable manufacturing facility using eco and up-cycled fabrics. We have a calling in this world and we're answering it. |
In summary, Maya is described by her friends as unique, decorated and passionate. In summary, Maya is described by her friends as unique, decorated and passionate. With too many interests to count, as well as an ever growing list of hobbies, Maya Perez is constantly learning. Photography has been a lifelong passion for her, amassing over 30 thousand photos. When looking at her body of work, the progress is clear, and yet her eye for a shot has been consistent. Candid smiles of people of all ages, beautiful flowers being kissed by sunlight, trees of all kinds (redwoods are probably her favorite), as well as water of all sorts are just some of the things she has captured over the years.
Even though Maya is only 23 years old, she has cultivated her curiosity through many channels. After being certified as a professional photographer, she re-evaluated her approach. Learning more about the industry taught her that many of the higher earning jobs have very limited creative potential. While enjoying a single source of income sounded nice, the lack of potential prevented her from pursuing more commercial events. She makes sure to remain accessible to average people because she believes their gratitude speaks volumes. Maya maintains four separate jobs, is an aunt to an 8 and a 3 year old, and is a mother to cat (Yoda) as well as dog (Moë). Maya loves to talk about these things as well as answer any and all questions you have. She lives in the forest, finds solace in rivers and the ocean waves, backpacks for fun, and is a self described old lady. Maybe it's the embroidery, enjoyment of sudoku, or desire to learn how to make lace... |
