Self Care Ritual
STEP 1
Create a sacred space with any of the following or in your own way:
Draw a circle in the sand
Stand in a hula hoop
Light 4 candles for each direction
Create a circle with candles, sticks, string, anything really.
Walk the edges of the room or area creating an energetic sacred space
STEP 2
Actively participate in the your ritual or your choice or creation.
Get a massage. Rub yourself with oil.
Take a bath. Read a book.
Paint a picture. Write a poem.
Lie in the sun. Shovel snow.
Basically anything you want to do that makes you feel that you’re taking care of yourself and is a relaxing thing for you to do.
STEP 3
Breathe Deeply—in through your nose, out through your mouth.
Sense into your body. See if you can feel the vast space within your body.
STEP 4
Once in your ritual space and starting to feel the calm energy, Cut some chords.
Call upon a figure of protection.
Your guardian carries a sword which he or she will use to cut any energetic chords you have tying you to anyone you no longer wish to be connected to.
Let them go. Have a clear out. Spring clean your energy and soul. Let go of the old.
And ask your protector to clear and cut any chords that are coming into from outside sources as well.
Reclaim your own physical space, cleanse your energetic space, and prepare yourself for the future.
STEP 5
Ground yourself.
Breathing deeply, visualize your roots growing down into the earth, and the trunk of your tree becoming long and tall and strong, and stretch your branches, shake your leaves, leave the past behind making room for the future.
Thank your protector/protectress.
STEP 6
Conclude your ritual.
Close your ritual space.
When you feel your ritual has concluded, walk the circle in the other direction, or lift the hula hoop, or blow out the candles in the opposite direction that they were lit.
Zip yourself up energetically, and imagine a beautiful malleable bubble protecting you from any tentacles that may try to latch onto your energy in the future.
