Dear Friends of Come Play, Happy Autumn, Lovelies! The leaves are changing, the weather is starting to cool, but Come Play is still HOT! If you attended any recent Come Play events, find photos of yourself during the experience here in Past Experiences. Upcoming October Events include: First Friday, October 3 Come Play Music Mania at Guthrie Green from 6-8 p.m. Create your very own musical instrument to take home with you or spend a moment playing with and adding to the large scale interactive group instrument. Saturday, October 4 is World Hoop Day, a truly amazing event that takes place all over the world. It is a day of celebration, but more importantly it gives hooping, and everything about hoops, a real purpose—sharing! This day was created out of a desire to share hooping. World Hoop Day makes that possible by raising money via donations. They then transform that money into airline tickets, materials & tapes for new hoops to be shared throughout the world; especially in those parts where kids don't have toys. Hoops become their new toys and newest delights. Please contribute to the cause. Your personal or business donation is tax deductible. Either would be a nice tax write off. A little tax tip: if you donate online to World Hoop Day they can send you a form for you to claim your donation on your taxes. Please ask your employers and co-workers to give too, and invite them to come and hoop with us! Come Play is delighted to be working on this project. Please be in touch if you have questions, would like to vend, or would just like to know more about this event! Monday, October 6 I will host “I Can’t Dance” —a 45 minute, free, lunch hour workshop at TCC’s Center for Creatvity at the Metro Campus downtown from 12-12:45 p.m. Many of us dread that moment at a wedding reception where we must face a choice: get up and dance and look foolish, or continue sitting at our table and look like a grumpy buzzkill. Come learn some simple moves that you can rock at any opportunity—whether it’s a slow song or a fast number. You’ll never have to do the awkward drink-in-hand shuffle again! Also, starting Monday, October 6 Hoop Dance Class will move inside the Flyloft and continue every Monday from 6-7 p.m. $5/first class $10/drop-in $30/month Sign up now! If you're still reading, you rock! We continue to play Truth or Dare Online with the weekly Friday Challenge. Check it out… I am looking for the perfect venue for the next Come Play Party, so if you think of a place, do let me know! I would also like to know… how much would you pay at attend? Please write back, especially if you attended the first one! Please visit the website and invite your friends to join in the fun via the Facebook Events. Thanks so much! Lovely on, Sasha
